Work with system manager tool SM7 on incidents, problems and changes in WAS environment
Troubleshooting and coordinating the ticket for WAS environment with different teams
Troubleshoot performance issues and deployment issues.
Build up WAS environments and upgrades.
WebSphere Application Certified Professional (V6 or V7 or V8)
Familiar with manual and automated deployment of J2EE applications in WAS and Tomcat Servers
Ability to use JACL/JYTHON and running automation scripts
Skills in administration of Tomcat Apache servers
Knowledge of End 2 End data flows from DNS, Load balancers, IHS, IHS Plugin to WebSphere Clusters and backed databases
Basic knowledge of databases and connection pooling
Hands on skills in Performance Tuning
Familiar with backup and restore procedures
Knowledge of Linux and UNIX
Required experience 8 - 10 years.
Communicative and team player to work at customer location and with different vendors and teams.
Strong TCP/IP and Network troubleshooting background
Good knowledge of network infrastructure and Architecture
